Winner of many national and international award educationist lopsang
lama of kalimpong and the principal of new light academy Namchi Sikkim
has been felicitated with the 'bharat gaurav award ' in a programme
organised by Indian international friendship society on the occasion
of global friendship day at le meridian hotel New Delhi . Indians
working all over the globe to enrich the society with their work in
different sphere are been awarded with this award. In the field of
Literature and social activities Mr. lama has been awarded with this
award by the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajiv Shukla in presence
of ex governor of Assam and Tamil nadu state dr.bhism narayan . the
award function was presided by the ex CBI director jogindar singh .
After returning from Delhi today Mr. Lama speaking to the press told
that this award holds an important place in his life, he told that
this award is for all the Indian gorkhas who are fighting for their
identity.
