SAROKAR: FRIENDLY GROUP LONG RUN

Five national long distance marathon runners started their 50 km Friendly Group Long Run from Suntalay near Rambi in National Highway 31 A heading towards Pedong via Kalimpong. Flagged off by Dipen Tamang Officer in Charge of Ryang Police station at 6.04 am
For solidarity, communal harmony and peace the run was jointly organised by Kalimpong Veteran's Club,

Pedong Youth Sports Association and Kalimpong Press Club. Long distance runners of Darjeeling and Kalimpong joined the run from Kalimpong and senior citizens too accompanied the group in the Kalimpong town area.
Five national runners include Roshni Rai of Pedong, a national regular marathon runner of Mumbai, Asha Arora from Chandigarh, Vishwas Bhamburkar from Ahmedabad, Brijesh from Bangalore and Amit from Mumbai. The runners were warmly received by the people of kalimpong at thana dhara.
